Against the Genocide in Gaza! Solidarity with the Palestinians!

May 25, 2025 – The genocide of the Palestinian people continues unabated. Not only is Israel continuing to bomb Gaza, it has also been blocking the import of food, medicine and other essential supplies for many weeks. We are appalled by the unbearable suffering!

The Israeli army is systematically destroying hospitals and murdering medical personnel and journalists. Israeli settlers and soldiers are also brutally cracking down on Palestinians in the West Bank. With its new ground offensive, the Israeli government is preparing to annex the Gaza Strip and thus finally expel or wipe out the Palestinians living there. All this is the cruel culmination of 75 years of expulsion and oppression since the Nakba of 1948.

End: approx. 4 p.m. at Luisenplatz

Germany is complicit! In the name of its supposed reckoning with the Holocaust, it has elevated the ‘protection’ of Israel to a matter of national interest („Staatsräson“). But that means actively supporting genocide in Gaza, e.g. by supplying weapons. In 2024, the German government approved arms exports worth 326 million euros to Israel. That’s not how to take responsibility for past genocides! That’s how to create new ones! 

At the same time, the German state suppresses expressions of solidarity with Palestinians through defamation, criminalisation and police violence. Freedom of expression and freedom of the press are restricted, and funding for cultural and social projects is made conditional on political criteria. Racist incitement against Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims has become commonplace.

The way in which solidarity with Palestine is handled is a clear indicator of the authoritarian developments taking place in Germany, which are occurring in parallel with a massive military build-up and a general hostility towards migrants. Since 2024, asylum procedures for refugees from Gaza have been put on hold by the federal government. Palestinians are under constant threat of deportation and death.

Against this, we put up resistance and get organised!

We demand an immediate halt to all arms deliveries to Israel and the end of the blockade on essential goods for the people of Gaza!
